Helpful Advice
What should you do when someone dies?
If the person passes away in a house, contact the ambulance immediately on 000. Should the death occur in a hospital, the staff will confirm the death and complete the necessary documentation. In both these instances the family will need to select and contact the funeral director. Most nursing homes will ask the family of a new resident for a name of a funeral firm to be contacted at the time of need.
Should you have to arrange a family member’s funeral, Marc or one of his colleagues would be honoured to serve you at such a time.
Experiences of Grief
One of the hardest things to deal with when someone dies is the painful process of grief. It might involve disbelief, shock, denial, confusion, anxiety, envy, anger, depression, limbo, frustration, despair, sadness and even physical symptoms such as poor sleeping and eating habits. Everyone does not necessarily go through every experience, nor do they go through them in any set order. It is important to rely on close friends and family who can support you through this emotional time. |
